Jalandhar, : The trailer of action packed multi-starrer family drama ‘Shareek’ hit the social networking and entertainment website YouTube.com a few days ago and got nearly 1.2 lakh views in less than 24 hours. The theatrical trailer was formally released on Friday in the city where the star cast interacted with the media persons about their experience with the film.
The film is a presentation of Ohri Productions Pvt. Ltd. and Gilco & Green Planet Production. It stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Mahie Gill, Guggu Gill, Mukul Dev, Kuljinder Singh Sidhu, Prince KJ Singh and Hobby Dhaliwal. Newcomers Simar Gill and Oshin Sai are debuting in acting with this flick. Navaniat Singh has directed the film and the producers are Vivek Ohri, R.S. Gill, P.P Saini and K.S. Saini. Karan Parmar has co-produced the film. The story is based on a family which gets divided over the issue of land. Many events follow and the feeling of envy deepens.
On this occasion lead actor Jimmy Sheirgill said, “The film takes you to the roots of Punjab where a dispute over land is a story of every other household. But sometimes this dispute takes a bad shape and things cannot be turned back to normal. Our film is also one such story and has been beautifully narrated.” Lead actress Mahie Gill is has been paired a number of times with Jimmy earlier. She is quite excited about the film and also enjoying switching between the two industries and now feels the atmosphere is same. She said, “Punjabi cinema is evolving and the level of professionalism is matching to that of Bollywood. This film is a perfect example of that.
Senior actors Mukul Dev were also present along with Kuljinder Singh Sidhu who would be seen in a strong character in the film. They said, “We all enjoyed each other’s company on the set. No doubt the script is very serious, but shooting the film was so much fun. We would share lighter moments on the set to ensure everybody feels homely.”
Newcomers Simar and Oshin believe that they’ve got the best start one could dream of. They said, “We have been lucky to start our career with such an experienced team and such a strong script. It takes courage to make such film and that has affected us also in a positive manner. This film has infused a lot of confidence in us for our acting career.”
Producers of the film said, “The film was well planned and it will come out very differently and will touch new dimensions in Punjabi cinema.” The trailer of the film looks promising and the performances by all the actors look pretty strong.
The film opens on Dusshehra day i.e. 22nd October, 2015 which is not a Friday but a Thursday. The film will be distributed pan India by Sky Show Bizz.
