Bathinda : Under the chairmanship of Sh. Paramjeet Singh, Ld. District & Sessions Judge, Bathinda, the CJM/Secretary and Ms. Amita Singh, District Legal Services Authority, Bathinda, a meeting with all the Judicial Officers of District Bathinda as well as Sub Division, was held today. The meeting was held in view of National Lok Adalat to be held on 13.08.2016 relating to Bank Matters. Ld. District & Sessions Judge Bathinda directed all the Judicial Officers to identify and mature maximum number of cases for the upcoming National Lok Adalat so that the pendency of court files can be reduced. It has been informed by CJM/Secretary, that the Lok Adalat would be organised relating to the bank matters (Prelitigative as well as pending both). Ms. Amita Singh, District Legal Services Authority, Bathinda urged the general public that they should take maximum benefit of the Lok Adalat because settlement of case through Lok Adalat results in saving of time as well as money. Moreover the award passed in Lok Adalat is final and non appealable, and the parties can get the court fees also refunded if they have filed heavy court fee in Recovery Suits etc. if any person is interested in getting his case settled in the said Lok Adalat, then he can move separate application in the concerned court where the case is pending and after issuing notice to the opposite party, the case can be settled on the common ground which are acceptable to both the parties.
