EVERY SECTION OF SOCIETY’S HELP NEEDED TO MAINTAIN PEACE AND HARMONY IN DISTRICT, DEPUTY COMMISSIONER

Bathinda,:In order to strengthen the brotherhood and maintain peace and harmony in the district, the Bathinda administration held a special meeting of the peace committee comprising of religious, social organizations etc today. The Deputy Commissioner Dr Basant Garg and the SSP Bathinda Mr Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu presided over this meeting.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner Dr Basant Garg said that no one would be allowed to disturb the peace and harmony of district for which peace committee has been formed. Talking to the dignitaries of society, Dr Garg appealed them to spread the message of peace in state and help the district administration in propagating same. He appealed people to step forward for maintaining security of religious places and install CCTV cameras at religious places. He also appealed them to propagate the message of peace and harmony from the religious places.
SSP Bathinda Mr Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu said that anyone can become member of this peace committee and put priceless contribution in maintaining peace in state. He added it was our duty to extend help to police and administration and ensure that the protests do not turn violent.Mayor Mr Balwant Rai Nath congratulated the administration and people for maintaining peace.Representatives of Beopar Mandal, youth clubs, NGOs etc said that some anti social elements wanted to disturb the peace of state by dishonoring Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and called upon people to oppose such anti social elements. All the meeting’s participants assured of all kind of support to the administration and police.
Prominent among others present included SGPC member Mrs Joginder Kaur, Christian community’s leader Father David Bharti, Muslim community’s leader Nr Ramzan Khan Nemi, Mr Krishan SIngla from Sikri Bazar, Mr Rajinder Raju from Beopar Mandal, Mr Rajinder Guddu from Valmiki Samaj and others.The government officials present at meeting included ADC (G) Mr Sumit Jarangal, SDM Talwandi Sabo Mr Vineet Kumar, assistant commissioner-cum-SDM Rampura Mr Narinder SIngh Dhaliwal, SDM Bathinda Mr Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, assistant commissioner-cum-district transport office Mr Latif Ahmed and others.
