Chandigarh :-In the Chandigarh mayor election results, BJP’s candidate, Councillor Manoj Sonkar from Ward 7, emerged victorious with 16 votes. The Chandigarh AAP and INC Chandigarh alliance secured 12 votes. Notably, there were 8 invalid votes out of a total of 36 cast. The new mayor, Kumar, aged 39 and with education up to the 7th standard, is involved in the liquor business.
