BHUCHO MANDI’S DEEPAK HANDED OVER TO HIS PARENTS

Bathinda,:The District Child Protection Unit re-united 14 years old Deepak Kumar, a resident of Bhucho Mandi, with his parents. The child was brought to Bathinda on the information of Child Helpline Purnia (Bihar).
The District Child Protection Officer Miss Ravneet Kaur Sidhu stated that on July 15, as per Deepak, a man took him from Bhucho Mandi playground to Katihar (Bihar) through train journey. A FIR regarding this is lodged at Police Station Nathana. At Katihar, Deepak was made to work at some hotel. The hotel owner gave him Rs 50 per day and one time meal. The child ran away from this dhaba. The child came across some good Samaritan who handed him over to Child Helpline, district Purnia (Bihar). The child was presented before Child Welfare Committee Purnia. The child was thereafter shifted to Children Home Purnia.
After counseling the child revealed his name and address. Taking the information, the Child Welfare Committee Purnia (Bihar) contacted District Child Protection office Bathinda. The DCPO Bathinda got in touch with DSP (D) Gurmail Singh Dhaliwal who looked for the child’s parents. The representatives of today Child Helpline Purnia (Bihar) today brought the children to DCPO Bathinda and presented him before Child Welfare Committee Bathinda.
