WORK ON CONSTRUCTION OF ALL 123 SEWA KENDRAS COMPLETED IN DISTRICT, DC

Bathinda: The work on construction of all 123 sewa kendras in Bathinda district has been completed, which will enable people to get government services nearer home, stated the Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Dr Basant Garg. The nodal officer of Sewa Kendras and assistant commission (grievances) Mr Latif Ahmed was with him.
Dr Garg stated that a dream project of the Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal, the Sewa Kendras will put an end to people’s harassment of going to city for getting even the smallest of government departments’ related work done. Each Sewa Kendra will serve around 3 to 5 villages.
In Bathinda district the agencies entrusted work of buildings’ construction include Mandi Board, PWD division number 1 and division number 2. The kendras have been divided into type 2 and type 3. All the urban area centers fall under type 2 category and of rural areas fall under type 3 category.
Dr Garg added that the work on construction of buildings has been completed and the work on installing computers etc is in full swing. He said that these kendras will impart services that Suwidha Kendras give. These services include arms licence, counter sign, unmarried certificate, special power of attorney/general power of attorney, copies related to revenue record, marriage registration certificate, driving licence, birth and death certificate, affidavit attestation, surety bond, No Objection Certificate, ration card, no dues certificate, copies of old records, agriculture, RTI Services, late entries (birth and death), residence certificate, caste certificate, urban area certificate etc facilities are being given.
