Bathinda,: On the directions of Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal the DC Bathinda Dr Basant Garg distributed compensation of Rs 3 lacs to the 120 farmers of three villages whose cotton crop has been affected due to white fly attack.
Dr Garg said that the 102 farmers of village Mehraj have been distributed Rs. 2.64 lacs compensation for the 33 acres of affected crop, village Sidana’s 11 farmers have been distributed Rs 22000 of compensation for 22 canals of area and village Burj Gill’s farmers have been distributed Rs 14000 compensation for crop affected in 14 canals of area.
Speaking at the occasion Dr Garg said that the Punjab government was with the farmers in their every hour of distress. He added that the government was dedicated to solve every problem of farmers. He added that the girdawri work of white fly affected areas is being completed and very soon the farmers would be distributed the compensation. SDM Rampura Mr Narinder Singh Dhaliwal also accompanied him.
