Jagraon : The Jagraon police have arrested two alleged gangsters. The accused arrested by the police are the accomplices of slain gangster Davinder Singh Bambiha.The accused have been identified as Harwinder Singh, alias Happy and Amandeep Singh, alias Amna, both residents of Pattohira village of Moga district.
According to the police, the accused were wanted in various cases. With their arrest, the local police have also claimed of solving the case in which a Toyta Fortuner SUV was looted near Jagraon around two months ago.SSP, Jagraon, Opinderjit Singh Ghuman, said the accused were arrested by a police team led by CIA staff in-charge inspector Rajanparminder Singh, following a tip-off. The police have also recovered a Wolksvogen Polo car (PB 29 W 0893) from the accused.
The police have also recovered a Mahindra Scorpio SUV (PB 29 P 9291) which was allegedly used for looting a Fortuner SUV near Jagraon in July. According to the police, the SUV was looted on gunpoint by four members of the gang. “The police have arrested two gang members involved in the incident, while another gang member Davinder Singh Bambiha was killed some time ago. Another member of the gang, Sukhpreet Singh, alias Budha has been absconding,” said Ghuman.he accused were produced before a local court which awarded two-day police remand to the accused. Some more revelations are expected from the accused during further questioning by the police.
