PUNJABI UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES ARRIVAL OF MAKA TROPHY

Patiala,:Punjabi University celebrates the arrival of MAKA Trophy. Punjabi University won MAKA trophy eighth time and fourth time in row. The varsity vice-chancellor Dr. Jaspal Singh received trophy from The President of India on National Sports Day. After paying obeisance at Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib MAKA Trophy brings to University by Principals of Colleges affiliated with university, sports organizers and Sports Department staff under supervision of Director Sports, Punjabi Varsity Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma and Dr Dalbir Singh, hand over Dr. Jaspal Singh (Vice- Chancellor). On this function, Ex- President SGPC Kirpal Singh Badungar, Higher-Level University official, Sports personalities and players are present.
Dr. Jaspal Singh said that it is very difficult to become first in any field from all over the country but too tough to maintain the same position. Punjabi University make dedicated team of college administered, sports organizers players under Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma, which made our university to rule in sports field from a decade. Further he thanked each and every person who contributes in this achievement. Youth Welfare Department presented the cultural programme on this occasion under direction of Dr. Satish Verma (Director, Youth Services Department).
