Ludhiana, Those interested in joining the Indian army would now have to apply online instead of participating in open recruitment. It means that now the interested youth would not have to visit different places for applying for recruitment into Army. Once a person applies, the army would then contact him and would intimate him about the place and date where his test would be conducted. This would help in saving a lot of time and no person would be able to dupe the innocent youth on the pretext of getting them recruited.
This was informed by Lt Gen R N Nair, Director General Recruiting, during the start of open recruitment at Dholewal Army Recruitment Camp, here. He informed that the online application process has been formally started by the army from July 1 onwards and all interested youth can apply at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
