NATIONAL INTEGRATION TOUR UNDER OPERATION SADBHAVNA

A National Integration Tour under Operation SADBHAVNA, was organised by 32 Assam Rifles of Indian Army for the children of North East Region. The tour was organised as an educational cum motivational tour wherein, the students would be visiting various places of historical and general interest in other states of the country. As part of the National Integration Tour the children also visited the Patiala city and Patiala mil stn.
The team comprising 20 students (10 boys and 10 girls) and 4 teachers from various schools of NE region arrived at Patiala. They were conducted on a sightseeing tour of Patiala City which included places of general interest and historical importance like Old Moti Bagh Palace, National Institute of Sports (NIS), Qila Mubarak, Sheesh Mahal, Rajendra Kothi and Kali Devi Temple around the city. In addition, they were also provided interaction with Army, to familiarise them with the armed forces.
The children were extremely happy to see the pristine environment of Patiala city and its surroundings. They also displayed keen interest while interacting with the army persons and were enthusiastic and motivated to join the Indian Armed Forces. The children proceeded to their next destination and took back unforgettable reminiscence of their visit to Patiala.
