MEDIA PLAYS PIVOTAL ROLE IN THE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT-SUMEET JARANGAL

Sri Muktsar Sahib,: After assuming charge here as Deputy Commissioner of distinct, Mr. Sumeet Jarangal IAS, during his first interaction with media, he praised the positive role played by media in the social development. He said that actually social development is the common agenda of both media and administration of region and these ethics will be maintained here in the district too.
Describing his priorities for the district, he said that his prime goal would be to complete the ongoing development projects within prescribed time limit. He said that delay in completion of development works causes problems to public. After infrastructure development, social development would be his second priority, and he will make sure to provide benefit of government schemes to each and every needy of the district, for the up liftment of weaker sections of society. He further said that Suwidha centres of district would be made more people friendly outlet for the delivery of citizen centric services. For this E-Governance project of state government would be implemented with more zeal and keenness. Participation of people would also be increased in ‘Beti bachao, Beti Parhao’ campaign, he said.
Deputy Commissioner also called upon the media for raising different issues in positive manner to bring them in the notice of Government. He further said that he would also try his best to solve such public issues raised by media.
