Bathinda/Chandigarh: S. Partap Singh Bajwa President PPCC today condemned the brutal action of the Punjab Police on S. Ravnit Singh Bittu MP Ludhiana and Registration of case against several senior Congress leaders in Bathinda even the worse was his turban fell off during the action taken by Punjab Police. Senior Congress leaders S. Ajit Inder Singh Mofar MLA, Sh. Bharat Bhushan Ashu MLA, S. Bikram Mofar President DCC Mansa, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Gora Secretary PPCC and Sh. Khushbaz Singh Jattana Vice President Punjab Youth Congress were also injured in the Lathi Charged.
In a statement Bajwa said that these senior Congressmen were peacefully protesting against the anti farmer policies of the SAD-BJP Government in Punjab and specially the Multi Crore Pesticide Scam. The congressmen were demanding the sacking of S. Tota Singh Agriculture Minister immediately and were appealing to the State Government to be prepared for the paddy procurement season which is starting from tomorrow. As the Congressmen marched toward the office of Deputy Commissioner Bathinda, they were lathi charged, detained and then released after taking them 40 kms away from the city. Later in the evening again the Punjab Police registered a case against all the protesting Congress Leaders under Political Pressure.
