Bathinda:The Health and Family Welfare Minister, Mr. Surjit Kumar Jyani today said that the health department was committed to provide all kind of possible help to the dengue patients and it was due to the consistent efforts of the department that all the reported dengue cases were undergoing successful treatment.Mr Jyani was in Bathinda today to review the arrangements for dengue patients and take a stock of the situation with the district administration. Mr Jyani appreciated the efforts of health and Municipal Corporation Bathinda in forming joint teams that were conducting door-to-door survey to find dengue larva and penalized people accordingly.
He added that everyday these teams were checking 1000 households in the demarcated areas. He added that all the government hospitals were very well equipped to provide the best of treatment to the dengue patients. He added that at present 618 patients in state were admitted for dengue in various government and private hospitals. In Bathinda eleven patients are admitted at the government hospital suffering from dengue, while there are no such patients in the government hospitals.Meanwhile he has asked the Civil Surgeon Bathinda Dr Tejwant Singh to ensure adequate medicines and also the diagnostic machines were in order. Besides this he has asked him to ensure complete medical facilities in the civil hospital mainly in especially created isolation wards for the dengue patients. He has also asked the Civil surgeon to ensure that no patient suffering from fever or suspected to have Dengue should be denied treatment and the bed strength, if needed, should be increased to accommodate all patients who were visiting the hospitals for treatment for suspected dengue.The Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr Sarup Chand Singla, Deputy Commissioner Dr Basant Garg, Mayor Mr Balwant Rai Nath, ADC (G) Mr Sumit Jarangal and other officers were also present.
