963 BENEFICIARIES DISTRIBUTED RS 4.53 CR SANCTIONS UNDER PRADHAN MANTRI MUDRA BANK YOJANA

Bathinda, : Under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Bank Yojana various banks of the district held a mega camp at Jeet Palace wherein the Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) Mr Sarup Chand Singla distributed sanctions worth Rs 4.53 cr to 963 beneficiaries. Addressing the officers of different banks and those getting loan, Mr Sarup Chand Singla nsaid that under the able guidance of Union Minister Mrs Harsimrat Kaur Badal 963 beneficiaries have been sanctioned loans, while more needy people would be sanctioned loans in future.
He said that the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi had envisioned setting up of Mudra Bank for small and medium traders, which has porved to be a boon for them. He thanked the bank officers and employees for launching this program in Bathinda today. He said that the Prime Minister was aware of the problems at grass root level. Taking a revolutionary step, he launched many major schemes in a short span of over an year, which are very helpful to the poor.The Pmgot bank accounts of everyone in country opened through Jan Dhan Yojana. Earlier, the poor had no relation with the banks . The poor was dependent on rich for loans, who gave the same at exorbitant rates of interest. Under the Jan Dhan Yojana, poor people’s bank account is opened at zero balance. He added that the youngsters get trained through various courses but are unable to start their own work as they do not have enough funds available.
At the Mudra Bank, the beneficiaries can avail loans upto Rs 10 lacs without any security. He expressed hope that districts all banks will provide loans under Mudra Bank without any security so that people can start their own business ADC (general) Mr Sumit Jarangal said that people can get loan without any guarantee. He added that under the scheme loans are made available at all nationalized banks at less than 12 percent year rate of interest.The bank officials said that under Shishu Yojana Rs 50000 loan, under Kishore Yojana Rs 50000 to Rs 5 lacs loan and under Tarun Yojana Rs 5 lacs to Rs 10 lacs of loans are provided. The loans are meant for small and medium traders as well as the establishments like boutique and beauty parlor run by women are also given loans.
Prominent among others present at the event included BJP city president Mr Mohit Gupta, Akali Dal city president Mr Sudhir Bansal, senior deputy Mayor Mr Tarsem Goyal, SDM Bathinda Mr Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, DGM State Bank of Patiala Mr N K Dhaliwal, DGM Punjab National Bank Mr Charanjit Singh etc.
